The Whales or Gas campaign aims to defend Mexican whales and preserve the Gulf of California, preventing it from being irreparably damaged by the Saguaro Project, which seeks to transport fossil gas from Texas to Asia.

Conexiones Climáticas is part of the "Whales or Gas" coalition and has been involved in petition drives and mobilization efforts to prevent this project from turning northwest Mexico into a fossil fuel industry sacrifice zone. The campaign has brought together hundreds of thousands of people and more than 40 organizations from across the country.
